Hair Products were one of my main health concerns when my children were young. Stress, lack of proper nutrition, and poor sleep contributed to my hair loss problem.
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ve had the opportunity to read about how I took control of my hair loss. And I am very grateful to everyone who supported me in those years.
One thing that worries me now is the chemicals we put on our scalps when we shower. You know it can damage your scalp, sometimes clog your pores, and ultimately lead to hair loss.
The main synthetic chemicals that cause hair loss are the ones that smell and create lush soap. The most well-known harmful chemical is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), which is known to “remove essential oils from hair, destroy proteins essential to healthy hair, and stunt hair growth.”
Other ingredients to avoid in hair care products include formaldehyde, parabens, alcohol, sodium chloride, DEA, TEA, fragrance, and artificial colors.
In my search for natural hair care products that will help protect my hair and the environment, I had the opportunity to try Morrocco Method 100% natural products.
Not only are the ingredients 100% natural, but they also use 100% natural packaging.

Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo (for All Hair Kinds)
This cleanse holds acetic cutting derived from apple cider vinegar as its main ingredient. Acetic acid can surge blood flow to the scalp and restore healthy pH levels. ACV Rinse is also a non-foaming antibacterial shampoo specially formulated to condition and repair hair and scalp.
If you use natural shampoos, you already know that most of them do not lather, and this shampoo from the Morrocco Method is no exception.
To ensure that the shampoo penetrates easily into the hair, it is recommended to wear it in a smaller flask with 50% shampoo and then 50% high-quality filtered water before use. This will make it easier to use since it is highly concentrated.
I’ve been using Morrocco Method ACV shampoo for over a month now, and I’m very pleased. I should note that my hair behaved strangely in the first two weeks, the so-called “detoxification period.” My scalp is used to using synthetic chemicals like SLS. So when I switched to natural shampoo, my scalp and hair became oilier. Still, I learned that switching from a commercial shampoo containing chemicals to a natural shampoo is normal.
This is no longer the case; on the other hand, my hair looks shiny and deprived of excess oil. It is easy to comb (even without using conditioner), and it also seems thicker, which is very good for fine hair.

Pearl Essence Crème Rinse
According to experts, curly hair tends to be drier and tends to absorb moisture from its environment. One way to solve this problem is to use a conditioner.
But since I have fine hair, I have to avoid using conditioner and limit my use to once a week. This is because most hair conditioners weigh my hair down and make it thinner.
For years, this seemed like a good key, but before, I had to deal with frizzy hair.
Argan oil is a great solution most of the time, but I need to find a better, long-lasting conditioner that is natural and works.
Pearl Essence Creme Rinse Conditioner is a leave-in conditioner infused with shea butter to help condition hair, creation it soft and easy to comb.
It has a creamy consistency and a pleasant smell. It makes my curly hair look defined without losing volume.
The conditioner is uncooked, vegan, paleo, sulfate-free, and gluten-free.

Sapphire Volumizer Mist
Sapphire Volumizer Fog is a leave-in hair conditioner in spray form. It’s a lighter alternative to deep conditioner and a great way to add volume, tame frizz, and ailment your hair without weighing it down, especially if you have fine hair.
The chief ingredient, natural grape seed oil, helps heal hair follicles that may have been damaged due to synthetic hair dye and environmental conditions while moisturizing the hair and scalp, thereby promoting long-term thickening results.
I love how it helps improve my hair so that every day is a “good hair day”!

Dragon’s Blood styling gel conditions hair while providing light to medium hold.
My kids always wanted to use hair gel, but they weren’t allowed to use it, especially since most over-the-counter gels contain a lot of synthetic chemicals.

My overall experience
As I mentioned earlier, finding a shampoo that will cleanse my hair without stripping it of its natural oils is a big challenge. Apple cider vinegar shampoo works well. While it seems strange that it doesn’t lather, I’m really happy to know that it doesn’t contain all those nasty chemicals I used to use.
Morrocco method air conditioners offer a wide range of products to suit every taste. I liked the fog; it hydrates my hair and tames frizz. It also helps me avoid using conditioner so my hair is shiny and smooth and doesn’t frizz or lose any of its volume.
My daughter, who uses Pearl Essence Crème Rinse, is thrilled to have found a conditioner that controls frizz and conditions her thick, curly hair.
The gel is also great; it’s paraben and SLS-free, natural, and unprocessed, so it’s safe for my kids to use from time to time when they need it.
If your hair seems thinner than before, it could be for a variety of reasons. Check the list of elements of your hair care products. Choose wisely for your health and, of course, for the environment.
